Museum Diorama 2009
Timber framed building, Scale 1:12
This model was created to show how timber framed buildings were constructed in the early part of the 17th century.
Based on Pandean farmhouse now located at the Weald and Downland Museum. The model was constructed using solid wood and miniature bricks. Real wattle and daub was used to realistically show what building techniques were used.
This model is displayed and used at the Weald & Downland Museum for their teaching workshops called building blocks. These workshops focus on building techniques, materials and structures. |
