Turtle Egg 2010
This model was created for the Oceanarium in Bournemouth. They required a model of the inside of a turtle egg.
They had a “number of requirements for the piece, such as durability from customer interaction as well as being tactile and informative” – Oliver Buttling, Group Curator at the Oceanarium in Bournemouth.
The model also needed to be light weight as it was to be mounted on a wall next to their turtle egg information. No particular scale was requested, however they estimated that it should be around the size of a football.
The model was created using clear resins adding to the three dimensional appearance of the model.
The model is currently being displayed at the Oceanarium in Bournemouth. |
